We have an urgent requirement for the Position of Data Warehouse Analyst/Developer.

Location: Princeton, NJ

Duration: 6 Months Contract

Availability: Immediate







Position Summary:



Working within the data Warehousing team, this individual will be responsible for design and development of projects and tasks primarily within the enterprise data warehouse area. S/he will be responsible for delivering working solutions and supporting them during and after implementation. Areas of responsibilities include working across all areas of Inverness Medical Innovations: Global Applications, Global Infrastructure and Global SAP.



Responsibilities



Participate in the design and development of the enterprise data warehouse
Creates detailed implementation plans in conjunction with the data warehouse Architect/Lead/PM. Ensures that these plans are in accordance with the overall project plan
Ensures that all development activities are implemented without any major disruption to the business
Provides support for the Enterprise data warehouse during system implementations, and post production support
Interact with users and be able to understand and articulate their needs.

Strong oral and written communication skills




Skills



Familiarity with Sales, Marketing, Manufacturing and Operations concepts.
Good understanding of SAP - master data, hierarchies, transactional data (orders, invoices and pricing)
Must have 5 to 8 years direct, hands on experience with the data warehousing tools/Technologies - Microsoft DTS and/or SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)
Hands on experience with Microsoft SQL Server database using/developing SQL and stored procedures
Experience with batch scripts and jobs scheduling
Good understanding of logical and physical data modeling using Erwin
Should have at least two full data warehouse project lifecycles
Strong hands-on development experience. Detail oriented
Good understanding of Software Development Life Cycle
Good understanding of version control procedures and processes
Experience with SAP BW – Info Objects, Info Cubes, Info Packages, Info Source and ODS is a plus
Should be able to conduct various levels of testing (Unit, Functional, Integration, User Acceptance and Cut over)
Strong documentation and diagramming skills, especially in the areas of writing system requirements, & technical specifications
Effective user interaction
Well versed with MS Word, MS Excel, MS Access and MS PowerPoint






Qualifications



Bachelor’s degree / Equivalent experience.
