Title: Senior eTrading Systems Engineer

Location: Chicago, IL

Requirement:



Minimum of 5 years of experience in E-Trading server related maintenance and installation of Windows and Sun environments. The

candidate must have at least 7 years or more in Information Technology. Have in depth knowledge of Trading Technologies (TT) and PATS, and

other ISVs. Have in depth knowledge of UNIX server hardware and technologies. The ability to pro-actively learn through the use of

documentation and web based resources like forums, vendor publications and knowledge bases.



Responsibilities in Order of Importance:



Take ownership and assist in resolving all E-Trading related tasks i.e.PATS, Trading Technologies, GL, ULLINK, ORC, Firewall issues relate
to E-Trading, security and others that arise through the different work groups that we deal with, i.e. E-Trading Support, FFM, Exchanges.
Become 3" level support for all ETrading related incidents.


Assist in evaluating/testing/designing and implementing different ISV (TT, GL, PATS, ULLINK, O K , etc.. .) front end applications and
installing and configuring of back end applications.



Assisting in the testing, evaluating and maintaining of hardware firmware,OS patching of Unix/Linux Servers.


Assist in the daily and pro-active maintenance of the E-Trading Sun Unix server and Windows environment from an E-Trading perspective.


Participate in a 24 by 7 rotation for troubleshooting and solving outages,disconnects as an on call engineer providing documentation and
EComunications to the rest of the team when an incident arises.



Participate in the early morning/evening shift rotation to cover E-Trade related issues and assist in the E-Trade Support group early morning/ evening shift as requested from the staff on the shift.


Provide third level support through peering and knowledge transfer for the helpdesk in supporting the clients.


Help maintain~ documentation on E-Trading and Sever related procedures and issues that arise from daily operations.


Assist the E-Trading Manager in E-Trading infrastructure related projects as assigned using documentation and other resources as needed.


Participate in related meetings to current projects and the weekly status meetings to provide concise and timely updates.


Participate in the evaluation testing of ISV E-Trading applications an new server technologies and server network operating systems.


Offer new and innovative ideas that will increase our reliability and effectiveness of our E-Trading, network servers and infrastructure environments.
Assist in managing the E-Trading team to accomplish team tasks and goals through delegation and cooperation.


Create and manage pro-active and preventative procedures on all Unix/Linux severs on a regular basis.


Communicate with management and peers in the progress tasks as assigned for the purpose of resource planning and team work.


Do tasks assigned by the E-Trade Manager as needed in a timely and professional manner.
